Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper has just signed The World Mayors and Local Governments Climate Protection Agreement – a declaration by Mayors and other elected leaders from local governments around the world.

The Agreement calls for a number of actions, including the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 60% from 1990 levels worldwide and by 80% from 1990 levels in industrialized countries by 2050.
